A fun, hands-on introduction to printmaking designed especially for younger children.
Using print foam, children will design and (safely) carve their own stamp and create their own unique fabric patch to take home. They'll experiment with vibrant printing inks and discover the magic of making a fabric patch in a relaxed and creative environment.
Perfect for little makers who love to get creative, this workshop is designed so children can enjoy the fun of printmaking without the need for carving.
All materials and equipment are provided, so your child can simply turn up and start creating. Workshops take place at the Make & Mend Festival on Saturday 17th October, Hornsey Town Hall, Crouch End Broadway, London N8 8JJ
Classes are intentionally kept small to ensure everyone receives plenty of individual guidance and support.
Suitable for children aged 5- 8, this workshop offers a relaxed, welcoming environment where creativity can flourish. Children are welcome to attend on their own but adult supervision is required through out the class.
Each place costs £12 and includes all materials used during the session.
At the end of the workshop, your child will take home their hand-carved foam stamp (approximately A6 size), along with a fabric patch printed during the class.
Workshop lasts 60 minutes from 11.30am to 12.30pm
Please make sure children wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting stained.
