These workshops are a great way to get a group of friends together doing something creative or for a team building exercise. Your group will be taught how to get started with the art of block printing. No experience or drawing skills needed, just a willingness to have a go.
I will teach your group how to use the tools, create and carve your own designs and then ink and print your stamps ready to take home. We will be using easy to carve rubber blocks which is easier to carve than traditional lino and is perfect for printing your own art, cards, wrapping paper, t-shirts, tea towels and table cloths.
All the tools and equipment you need will be provided and the workshops will be held at your chosen venue in London.
The classes are specifically kept small (maximum 8 people) so that I can work with everyone at their own pace and at their own level. All beginners will start with a simple one colour design but as your confidence grows you can move onto multi block, reduction or jigsaw block printing. I will send a guide to your team ahead of the class what they would like to try and what they would like accomplish.
This workshop is designed for adults although children over the age of 8 may attend with their parent/guardian.
The package for 8 people costs £300 and includes all materials used on the day.
You will take home the stamps you have carved (equivalent to an A6 lino cutting) as well as any prints or cards printed on the day. You can then continue using your stamp to make lots of prints and gifts for friends and loved ones.
