Everyday I walk past my neighbour’s garden fence, which is covered in this beautiful and extraordinary vine. I have always been fascinated by plants that flower and fruit at the same time, and there is something particularly special about seeing buds, flowers and fruit growing together. The passionflower is especially captivating to me- intricate, unusual and wonderfully stunning.
This Lino print is my hand printed interpretation of the passion flower vine, printed in dark umber onto warm, dark natural Lokta paper. The paper has natural deckle edges, with gentle textured fibres and an organic finish that add to the tactile, handmade quality of the piece.
Only 3 prints in this style have been printed, making this a very small and limited edition.
Each print is individually hand printed, so subtle variations in the ink, pressure and impression mean that every piece is a unique piece of art. Each print is numbered and signed by hand.
