Handprinted linoprint- Forest Friends in British Woodlands

from £60.00
The more you look at this linoprint, the more you'll see!

This print features 5 forest friends- a squirrel, a bat, a fox, a robin and a moth hanging out in the woods in Autumn/Winter time. Amongst the animals and trees are some oversized acorns, conkers, pine cones, holly, snowdrops, rose hips, berries and leaves highlighting the season.

I originally carved this print when our local council cut down some ancient oaks in our local woods due to potential subsidence of a neighbouring home. My heart went out to the local animals living in these woods that they lost these trees that were their home. I am aware that I use paper and lots of items that come from trees so I'm in no way innocent in the preservation of our planet. However, I strive everyday to be as sustainable.

I have printed these versions completely by hand in tonal browns so each one is completely different. There will be variations in intensity and colour as well as differing tones. There may also be very slight smudges as they are printed by hand and not in a press. This is what makes each print unique and a piece of art.

I have used Caligo safe wash ink and Somerset paper to print this scene. The print comes in an off white picture mount and the overall size is 40.5 cm wide and 50.8 cm high. The window is 29 cm and 41 cm. Each print is signed.
