My versatile patterns are available for licensing across a range of products, including textiles, wallpaper, stationery, gift wrap, homeware, and packaging .

I am conscious about our planet so favour working with clients and companies that share my same values.

My patterns begin with the traditional craft of hand-carved lino printing. Each design is created from my original artwork, carefully carved, printed, and turned into repeat patterns that retain the beautiful, organic textures and character of my handmade process.

Unlike digitally generated artwork, every pattern carries the marks of my printmaker’s hand — subtle variations, tactile details, and an authentic print texture that brings warmth and my distinctive style & personality to every design.

My collections combine bold colour, botanical inspiration, and a recognisable handcrafted aesthetic, creating distinctive designs that feel both contemporary and timeless.

I offer 2 types of licencing:

Non-Exclusive Licence

Price: £350 per pattern + 5% royalty

Includes:

• One product category

• UK only

• 2-year licence

Category Exclusive Licence

Price: £850 per pattern + 3% royalty

Includes:

• One product category

• UK & Europe

• 3 year licence

• Exclusive within that category

• Renewal available

VH Prints Pattern Licensing Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all pattern licences granted by VH Prints (“Licensor”) to the purchaser (“Licensee”). By purchasing a licence, the Licensee agrees to these terms.

1. Definitions

Pattern: The artwork, design, repeat file, motifs, colour ways, and associated creative materials supplied by VH Prints.

Product Category: The agreed category of products on which the Pattern may be used, as specified in the licence agreement.

Licence: The limited permission granted by VH Prints to use the Pattern under the terms outlined in the chosen licensing package.

Royalty: A percentage payment calculated on net sales of licensed products using the Pattern.

2. Licence Ownership & Copyright

2.1 All copyright, intellectual property rights, and ownership of the Pattern remain with VH Prints at all times.

2.2 The purchase of a licence does not transfer ownership of the Pattern or any intellectual property rights to the Licensee.

2.3 The Licensee receives only the specific usage rights expressly granted within their chosen licence package.

2.4 The Licensee may not sell, sublicense, transfer, distribute, or provide the Pattern files to any third party without prior written permission from VH Prints.

3. Non-Exclusive Licence

Price: £350 per Pattern + 5% royalty

The Non-Exclusive Licence includes:

• Permission to use one Pattern within one agreed Product Category

• UK territory rights only

• Licence term of 2 years from the licence start date

• Non-exclusive usage rights

• Supply of a production-ready repeat file

The Licensee acknowledges that VH Prints may licence the same Pattern to other businesses, including within the same industry or product category.

4. Category Exclusive Licence

Price: £850 per Pattern + 3% royalty

The Category Exclusive Licence includes:

• Permission to use one Pattern within one agreed Product Category

• UK and European territory rights

• Licence term of 3 years from the licence start date

• Exclusive rights within the agreed Product Category

• Production-ready repeat file

During the licence term, VH Prints will not licence the same Pattern to another company within the agreed Product Category and agreed territory.

Exclusivity does not prevent VH Prints from using or licensing the Pattern outside the agreed Product Category.

Additional fees must be agreed and paid before additional rights or services are provided.

6. Permitted Use

The Licensee may:

• Manufacture and sell finished products incorporating the licensed Pattern

• Use approved images of licensed products for marketing and promotional purposes

• Modify scale or placement of the Pattern for production purposes

The Licensee may not:

• Use the Pattern outside the agreed Product Category

• Use the Pattern after the licence expiry date

• Create derivative designs for resale without written approval

• Register the Pattern or any adaptation as their own intellectual property

• Use the Pattern in digital products, NFTs, wallpapers, downloadable products, or similar formats unless separately agreed

7. Royalty Payments

7.1 The Licensee agrees to pay VH Prints royalties on all products sold using the Pattern during the licence period.

7.2 Royalties are calculated at:

• Non-Exclusive Licence: 5% of net sales

• Category Exclusive Licence: 3% of net sales

7.3 Royalty reports and payments must be provided [monthly/quarterly] with supporting sales information.

7.4 VH Prints reserves the right to request reasonable evidence of sales figures for royalty verification purposes.

7.5 Failure to provide royalty reports or payments may result in licence termination.

8. Minimum Production & Use

VH Prints may require the Licensee to provide confirmation of commercial use plans.

If a Category Exclusive Licence is purchased but the Pattern is not commercially launched within [6/12] months, VH Prints reserves the right to review exclusivity arrangements.

9. Licence Renewal

9.1 Category Exclusive Licences may be renewed subject to availability.

9.2 Renewal fees will be agreed at the time of renewal and may be subject to changes in pricing.

9.3 Renewal does not automatically guarantee continued exclusivity unless confirmed in writing by VH Prints.

10. Pattern Delivery

10.1 Production-ready files will be supplied once payment has been received and the licence agreement has been accepted.

10.2 Files remain the intellectual property of VH Prints and must be stored securely.

10.3 The Licensee is responsible for ensuring files are only accessed by authorised personnel involved in production.

11. Design Modifications & Services

Any requested adaptations, recolouring, resizing, or bespoke alterations will be charged separately.

Current rates:

• Recolouring: £90/hour

• Bespoke pattern adaptation: £90/hour

Additional work will only begin once the scope and cost have been approved by the Licensee.

12. Termination

VH Prints may terminate the licence immediately if the Licensee:

• Uses the Pattern outside the agreed rights

• Fails to pay royalties or agreed fees

• Breaches confidentiality obligations

• Attempts to claim ownership of the Pattern

Upon termination or expiry:

• All use of the Pattern must stop immediately

• Existing stock may only be sold if specifically agreed in writing

• The Licensee must remove the Pattern from future production and marketing materials

13. Credit & Attribution

Where commercially appropriate, VH Prints may request credit as the original designer of the Pattern.

14. Liability

VH Prints warrants that it owns the rights to license the Pattern.

VH Prints is not responsible for:

• Manufacturing issues

• Product quality

• Sales performance

• Market response

• Third-party claims arising from the Licensee’s manufacturing or marketing activities

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of England and Wales.
